Clan Ewen Society UK

A view of the Cairn at MacEwan Castle

Welcome to the Clan Ewen Society UK

Since 1977, The Clan Ewen Society has represented clansfolk of all variants of the clan name MacEwen:

MacEwan, MacEwen, McEwan, McEwen, McEwing
Ewan, Ewen, Ewing

Everyone who shares the name can share in the clan. Although these names may descend from various different ancestral clans, including Clan Cameron, Clan MacDougall, Clan Bisset and Clan Ewing, the Clan Ewen Society believes that the modern clan is made up of everyone who shares the name today.

The next society AGM will be held during our International Clan Gathering and Derbhfine.

2:00pm on Saturday 7th of June 2014 at:

The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre
Beardmore Road, Clydebank
Glasgow  G41 4SA
Tel: 0141 951 6000

All Clansfolk welcome!

Sir John, Sean and Duncan at the last AGM

Text Box: Greetings to all and a Happy New Year from everyone at the Clan Ewen Society. This should indeed prove a happy year for the Clan as we seek to have a Commander recognised by the Lord Lyon at the Family Convention on June 6th. Please come if at all possible and bring the family! (Details of the event and the AGM can be found elsewhere on the website.) As this should lead to our having a Chief for the first time in more than 500 years, we can safely say that 2014 should become one of the most momentous years in Clan history

Best wishes and ... REVIRESCO!
John McEwen
Chairman of the Clan Ewen Society.
